COLONIZING MARS

Concept

Mars first colony architectural design incorporated current and emerging technologies in material science, nuclear science, 3D printing, biotech, robotics and engineering to support and sustain the first colony on Mars’s hostile environment. Vernacular architectural approach will be use through adaptive manufacturing of raw materials found readily on Mars.

Using polymer on regolith to create mortar to be 3D print structural component, graphene space frame as the structure and scaffolding for building envelop component and silicate or other minerals to create air-tight, opaque or translucent modular fibreglass building component will be the main building material for the first mars colony. The first colony model is also scalable to host the next and future batches of colonist and flexible to adapt to other community and working activities.
